Desktop Central provides options for configuring almost all the computer configurations. In addition to the configurations that are supported by Desktop Central, administrators can also write their own scripts that could be run on the machines for accomplishing specific configurations. The scripts could be any of the following formats:

Attach the guest tools ISO to the guest from Xen Orchestra or using xe. Then inside the VM, as root: mount /dev/cdrom /mnt bash /mnt/Linux/install.sh umount /dev/cdrom. No need to reboot the VM even if the script asks to. That's an old message from back when it was needed to install a kernel module in addition to the management agent.
ISPConfig 3.1 Installation. Now it's time to install our ISPConfig control panel with the autoinstall script. The script has two install modes: the standard mode and the expert mode. The two modes are similar, the main difference is that in standard mode the ISPConfig installation is completely unattended, with the expert mode you can configure.

ERDPlus is a database modeling tool to quickly and easily create Entity Relationship Diagrams, Relational Schemas, and Star Schemas. This project is a bash script that aims to setup a WireGuard VPN on a Linux server, as easily as possible! WireGuard is a point-to-point VPN that can be used in different ways. Here, we mean a VPN as in: the client will forward all its traffic trough an encrypted tunnel to the server. The install.sh script runs the near equivalent of the following command: rpm -Uvh -nodeps.rpm. This will upgrade any prior versions of MVAPICH2-X that may be present. These RPMs are relocatable and advanced users may skip the install.sh script to directly use alternate commands to install the desired RPMs.

Batch file (.bat or .cmd)
In any other language hosted by Windows Script Host (WSH), such as VB Script, JScript, Perl, REXX, and Python for Windows OS or sh, bash, ksh, csh, tcsh and py for Linux OS.

Note: The script engines for languages like Perl, REXX, and Python, must be registered with Windows. You can also execute single line commands, add dependent files and enable logging, to analyze the output of the script after execution.

Step 1: Name the Configuration

Provide a name and description for the custom script configuration.

Step 2: Define Configuration

The table given below lists the parameters that have to be provided for defining the configuration.

Parameter	Description
Execute Script from	You can execute the script either from repository or as a command line.
Script Name*	The script that has to be added/removed in the machines needs to be chosen from the script repository. It is mandatory to add the script to the script repository for this to work.
Script Arguments	The arguments that have to be provided while executing the scripts.
Dependency files	The required dependency files for execution of the script needs to be added.
Exit Code	Specify the exit code, which should be returned, when the script has been executed successfully
Frequency	Specify the frequency for this script to be executed, like only once, during every system startup, during subsequent system startup for specified number of times or all system startup until a specified time period.
Run As	The script can be executed either as system user or any specific user who holds an account. In the latter case, credentials need to be furnished. This parameter is not available for Linux OS.

Step 3: Define Target

Using the Defining Targets procedure, define the targets for deploying the Custom Script Configuration.

Step 4: Deploy Configuration

Click the Deploy button to deploy the defined Custom Script Configuration in the targets.

Step-1 - Sign-up for Comodo Web Application Firewall

Sign-up for the CWAF at https://accounts.comodo.com/cwaf/management/signup.

Fill-in your user details and billing information

Select the payment mode and enter your payment details

Read the 'End User License and Subscriber Agreement' and accept to it by selecting 'I accept the Terms and Conditions' checkbox.

Click 'SIGN UP'

Upon successful payment processing, your account will be activated.

Sign-in to Comodo Web Application Firewall administration interface at https://waf.comodo.com with the same username and password you specified during signing up and manage your Web Application Firewall.

Step 2 - Login to Admin Console

The admins can log-in to the Comodo Web Application Firewall administration interface at https://waf.comodo.com/.

Enter the username and password you specified during sign-up.

Click 'Login'

You will be taken to the CWAF web admin console.

Step 3 - Download rule sets and deploy on to server

Comodo periodically publishes pre-defined firewall rule sets for CWAF which can be downloaded and deployed on to your web application server.

Follow one of the methods given below to download and deploy the rule sets, and to keep them up-to-date:

Download the rule sets from web admin console and install on to server

Use plugin for automatic download and deployment of rule set updates

You can download the CWAF agent from the admin console and install on to the server to create a plugin that enables you configure the overall behavior of CWAF. The plugin can be used to automatically download the periodically updated rule sets and to deploy them on to your server.

Download the Agent

Log-in to the web admin console at https://waf.comodo.com

Open the 'Rule set version' tab

Click the 'Download latest installer' link at the top-right

Download and save the agent setup file.

Install the web hosting control panel plugin on Linux

Transfer the agent setup file to a local folder in the server

E.g. /root

Run it installation script with a root privileges:

# bash /root/cwaf_client_install.sh

After the script is running, the CWAF Agent will be check to identify the web-server type and version:

1) Check for Apache and its version:

If Apache is not running, the following warning message will be displayed: Running Apache required to check ModSecurity version

Checking for mod_security and its version:

To ensure there are no syntax errors. If errors are found, a warning message will be displayed: Apache config syntax should be correct to check ModSecurity version.
